All units in the HIM series, regardless of number or bases, utilize the same common power head.
The Power head includes the motor mount, woods coupler system, turbine base, 30” SS turbine, SS wind tunnel, SS nozzle ring, teflon nozzles, stainless steel intake pipe with pressure gauge and stainless steel female 2” camlock, motor starter, wind tunnel safety hanger system, and eyebolt lift system.
We have many variations for this series. Please note we have defined the model numbers as L for land based, P for Pumping package, F for Float base, T for Trailer base, and the #2 or 3 indicates the number of Evaporators required for the package.
The HIM series is built for the toughest operating conditions. High quality gauge steel and robust systems and controls make it ideal for the toughest environments. Built with a 30” patented “Turbo-mist” turbine the HIM series can project water up to 180 feet out from the unit and up to 60 feet in the air at the top of the arc.
The L series is available in 4 variations
1) Standalone enhanced evaporator that requires the client to supply pumping which is the S30L with estimated disposal rate of 24 – 50 US gpm dependent on climate conditions
2) Single evaporator with pumping package model number S30LP with estimated disposal rate of 24 – 50 US gpm dependent on climate conditions
3) Two evaporators with pumping package model number S30LP2 with estimated disposal rate of 48 – 100 US gpm dependent on climate conditions
4) Three evaporators with a pumping package model number S30LP3 with estimated disposal rate of 72 – 150 US gpm dependent on climate conditions
Pump package consists of the following:
All required suction and pressure hose with certifications to allow for 50’ separation between evaporator and pump station pressure hose with certifications
All plumbing fixtures and cam locks are stainless steel
Powder coated pump skid comes complete the required pump dependent on the number of evaporators and operational conditions
Check valves on intake system to support self-priming of main pumps
Manual and ½ hp stainless steel submersible electric priming system
Adjustable flow rate self-clean filter
Nema#4 control panel and pressure monitoring system to avoid pump damage for loss of prime or terrain erosion from broken pressure hoses
Due the fact that this product is manufactured for a global market place, Slimline Manufacturing Ltd., does not supply these unit with any electrical cabling from power source to installation point at evaporator or pumps due to the fact that we are not aware of all the federal or state or country electrical codes. We will supply loads for each circuit allowing an electrical engineer to correctly size the system to meet the specific sites needs.
For higher water volume scenarios we recommend combinations of evaporators fitted with higher capacity components and pumps to maximize performance.
If you have a large reservoir to evaporate and your ideal timeframe limited by weather or other factors we recommend you consider a Dual – Pac (two evaporators) or Tri Pac (three evaporators) designed with an integrated pumping and power package to minimize operating costs while achieving maximum evaporation rates.
All evaporators can be skid mounted, float mounted or trailer mounted subject to the requirements of transport and usage.
All units are normally shipped by truck or hi-cube container in a fully assembled condition. In some cases the powerhead may be removed from the base (one bolt and a forklift) to facilitate reducing freight costs by maximizing space available for shipping or to accommodate airplane door sizes in air freight situations.
The powerhead, which is the engine mount and above including the turbine, eyebolt lift system, wind tunnel, wind tunnel hanger system, stainless steel nozzle ring and Telfon nozzles and starter with Scotchkote 134 finish is identical on all models in the 300 Series. Only the base which the power head sits on can change to configure the evaporators as a land model with adjustable legs, or a trailer model with wheels and hitch, or with the float option which has a float base with floats and stainless steel handrail system (OSHA standards).
Two styles of optional pumping units can be added in up to three unit packages for the land model base configuration, and two unit packages in either the trailer or float configuration. All pump configurations are built on a skid equipped with either a 20hp or 30ph high efficiency electric motor in required voltages, a control panel with low pressure auto shutdown, a check valve at intake, a self-cleaning Sure-flo rotating intake system, and a manual pump primer with electric auto primers optional.
All units have a one year parts and labour warranty.
Switch gear starter motor for the evaporator motor is included.
The voltage requirement of the 40-horse electric motor varies by country. The standard voltage in the USA is 480 volts 60 hz, and Canada is 575 Volt 60 hz. For international destinations a 50 hz 230, 380,415 and 440 volt are available.
These filters are built from PVC and stainless to withstand various solutions.
The design utilizes high performance plastic wheels and wheel bushings, special drive cleaning nozzles provide flat, wide hard hitting uniform spray pattern. flow controlling entry ports prevent hot spots on the screen, all fasteners are Stainless steel. Debris is blown off the screen as it revolves part stationary internal nozzles. They are built to last with low coefficient of friction, high mechanical strength, UV light resistant and very low moisture absorption. the model we have chosen for our pumping packages for single or dual pacs is a dual drive unit which has a capacity of 1901 GPM and requires 15 GPM to operate. the perforated Stainless steel screen is 6 inches high by 10.5 inches wide with an overall height of 15.5 inches. For Tri pacs we utilize a model with a capacity of 380 GPM and requires 30 GPM to operate. The perforated stainless steel is 16ga on both models. This type of filter requires a minimum of 55 psi to operate. The package will included a stainless steel foor valve with loss of prime warning and a manual priming pump.

Dual Set Point Wind Speed Alarm – used to measure and display wind speed from 0 – 99 mph. These speed sensors will automatically shut down the evaporator systems when the threshold wind speed is reached and then will restart when wind speed drops below that threshold. Helps eliminate drift outside the catchment area. Each threshold level can be manually adjusted on site.
This system simply monitors and reacts to a set of preset high and low set points. The Wind control alarm will shut down the pumping system should the high speed set point be achieved for a set period of time. Once the wind has dropped below the low speed set point the system will re-engage the pump. The evaporator fan will continue to run during a wind shut down alarm
This system tracks the wind speed and direction with all the features of option 1, plus records all of the trends of control points. It has the ability to group evaporators to maximize operational run times. It controls both pump and evaporator start up sequence plus monitors for any plumbing or pump system failures. It is also available with cell or WiFi download capability and control point adjustments. This system is designed to operate in conjunction with our “intermediate pump package” minimum requirement.
For sites concerned about the noise levels of the Turbo-mister while running we offer Noise reduction covers. The standard decibel level of a running S30L is approximately 65 Db at 200 feet from the unit. With the covers on the noise level will be reduced to __
